Bow Makers – The Best Bow Makers for Wreath Making
One of the questions that I get asked the most about wreath making is… “How do you make a bow?” There are literally hundreds of techniques and ways to hand tie a bow, and they are all fabulous, but for the purpose of this post we are going to take a closer look into commercial bow makers. Using a bow maker is great for those of us who want a quick and simple way to make a bow, or to be able to make multiple bows quickly.
Bowdabra – This is by far my favorite bow maker for making beautiful full bows! You can create designer quality bows in just minutes, and it is simple enough for even the most inexperienced wreath maker to use.
Pro Bow The Hand – This bow maker is a favorite by many in the wreath making industry! It creates bows that are very clean, tight, and gorgeous. I love it because it was created by a fellow wreath maker. It does take some time to learn, but once you get the hang of it you will be making stunning bows in no time!
Bow Genius – The Bow Genius is another great option for making bows. It comes with a convenient carrying case! Like the Pro Bow The Hand, this bow making tool also takes a little practice, but once you learn how it works, you will be whipping out bows like nobody’s business!
Deluxe E-Z Bow Maker – This bow maker claims to be the easiest way to make professional looking bows, but I have to admit that I have not tried this bow making tool, so can’t say whether or not it is any easier than the other. I do like that it claims to have a convenient ribbon spool holder attached.
Whichever bow making tool that you choose to use, it is imperative to remember that your bow will look best if you use a good quality wired ribbon. Ribbon is never something that I skimp on! I always try to use a high quality and I recommend that if you want to make eye-catching bows that you do the same.
Here is a video of me demonstrating how to make a full bow using two different ribbons with the Bowdabra Bow Maker.
