Ingredients for Homemade Cranberry Sauce

WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE HOMEMADE CRANBERRY SAUCE

  • Fresh cranberries
  • Brown Sugar
  • White Sugar
  • Orange Juice
  • Cinnamon
  • All Spice Seasoning
  • Salt

The first step in making homemade cranberry sauce is to add all of your ingredients to a medium sauce pan. Yes, just throw it all in there together. You do not have to combine your sugar and liquids first. I have tried it both ways, and it comes out just as good if you combine all of your ingredients from the start.

Next, boil your ingredients over medium-high heat until you start to see and hear the cranberries popping open. I love this part! (be sure to watch so your sauce doesn’t boil over)

Give your cranberry mixture a stir every now and then.

Then, reduce heat and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cranberries are tender. Cool and enjoy!

This cranberry sauce can be served warm or cold, but I think it is best if you refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
