Hi friends, Amanda here!

If you’ve been following Grace Monroe Home for any length of time, you know my mom and I been selling designer wreaths online since 2007. Our journey began on eBay, where we learned the basics of selling online and connecting with customers. From there, we moved to Etsy, and eventually, after gaining more confidence and understanding of our craft, we transitioned to our own website.

Over the years, we went from simply creating and selling wreaths to really studying what makes a successful online business. We learned what works and what doesn’t. After years of growing and refining our approach, we realized we wanted to help other makers find success too. That led us to create Design With The Pros Club in 2019.

Through this journey, starting on eBay, then Etsy, and now on our own platform, I learned that two things make the biggest difference in selling wreaths consistently: consistency and communication. Those lessons helped me retire from corporate America in 2011, homeschool my children, and build a life I truly love. Today, I want to share my top 5 tips to help you make your wreaths sell faster.

1. Be Consistent in Your Posting

One of the biggest challenges for new sellers is inconsistency. You might spend a week creating beautiful wreaths, photographing them, and then post them online and disappear for a few weeks.

Your audience needs to see you regularly. Whether you’re selling on Etsy, Facebook, Instagram, or your own website, consistent posting builds trust. When people see you show up regularly, they begin to connect with you and your work.

Tips for staying consistent:

  • Set a posting schedule and stick to it. Even one great post a day or three posts a week will help
  • Batch your content creation – spend one day photographing and writing captions for a week’s worth of posts
  • Use scheduling tools to plan ahead so you’re not scrambling every day

Being consistent has been life changing for me. It let me retire from corporate America, homeschool my children, and build my business around what matters most. Even as platforms have changed, consistency has always been the key to growth.

2. Communicate Clearly With Your Customers

Communication is one of the most powerful tools you have as a seller. When a customer buys a wreath, or even just asks a question, they want to feel confident that you are responsive and professional.

Before I understood this, I sometimes took too long to reply, and I quickly learned that clear communication increases trust and sales. When customers feel heard and cared for, they are more likely to buy again and recommend you.

Tips for effective communication:

  • Reply promptly to questions and messages
  • Make your listings clear with sizes, materials, shipping times, and care instructions
  • Follow up after a purchase with a thank you or care tip

3. Make Your Listings and Photos Shine

Even the most beautiful wreath won’t sell if your photos don’t showcase it well. Good photography helps your buyers see the details, colors, and quality of your work in a way that makes them want to buy.

Photo tips for faster sales:

  • Use natural light whenever possible so colors look true and bright
  • Take multiple angles…show the front, sides, and close-ups
  • Style your wreath on a door or mantel so buyers can imagine it in their own home
  • Keep the background simple so your wreath is the focus

Great photos are your first impression, and when they are clear and beautiful, your sales will follow.

4. Show Up in Your Community

Selling wreaths isn’t just about posting and hoping for sales. It’s about building relationships. People buy from people they trust and like, not just from a listing.

Ways to show up:

  • Join Facebook groups and online communities for wreath makers
  • Share tips, answer questions, and gently let people know about your work
  • Respond to comments and messages on your posts
  • Collaborate with other makers or local shops

The more you engage with others authentically, the more your work will be noticed. That attention leads to quicker sales.

5. Keep Learning and Adapting

The wreath business is always changing. Trends shift, platforms evolve, and what worked last year might not work today. Consistency and communication aren’t just about posting and replying. They’re also about learning and adapting.

How to keep growing:

  • Notice what sells and what doesn’t, and adjust accordingly
  • Try new styles, colors, and sizes to see what your audience loves
  • Keep up with social media trends, like using reels to show your process
  • Listen to your customers and value their feedback

Growing your skills and staying open to change keeps your business relevant and helps your products sell faster.

There is no magic trick that makes wreaths sell overnight. But when you show up consistently, communicate clearly, present your work beautifully, engage with your community, and keep learning, you build a business that thrives.

This business changed my life. It gave me the freedom to retire from corporate America, homeschool my children, and design my work around my family and life priorities.
