If you follow us on Instagram, you saw where we shared on Instagram stories that we were planning a super fun new tutorial!
Well, the tutorial that we were so excited about is finally ready and is an easy DIY Rag Bow tutorial. This rag bow is so much fun (and surprisingly easy) to make, so if you have ever wondered how to make a fabric bow with tails, then you are in for a treat!
If you aren’t familiar with what a rag bow, or as some call them, fabric bow, is, here is what one looks like. There are several variations of a rag bow, but this is your basic bow, and is great to get you started. You can add more “bells & whistles” after you get the hang of making it.
Here is what you will need to make this DIY rag bow:
- One Yard of Fabric (Any fabric will work – you can even use a combo of fabrics)
- 1 Yard of Lace
- 1 Crystal Broach or Button
- Wire Cutters
- Florist Wire
- Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks
- Bowdabra Bow Maker
You can make this bow WITHOUT using a bow maker, however, it is much easier using one!
This rag bow is really a lot of fun to make and it is perfect to use with your farmhouse decor or shabby style decorations. You could add the rag bow to a wreath to add a vintage/rustic look, or you could tie back your curtains with a pair of them. There are really soooo many different ways you could use this bow! I hope you enjoyed this fun little DIY rag bow. Go make one and show us your pictures. We always LOVE to see people create their own with our inspiration. Be sure to share this diy rag bow tutorial with your friends so that they can make their own too!
