Decorating for Valentine’s is always so much fun for me!
After Christmas is over, and the new year starts, I am always ready for a change. In our family, we usually take down our Christmas decorations pretty soon after Christmas, so there is that time between Christmas and the beginning of spring, where things just feel a little “blah”. Do you know what I mean? That is why I love decorating for Valentine’s Day. To spruce things up and add a little cheer to our home!
Near the end of January I like to get out my Valentine’s decor so I have at least a few weeks to enjoy them. One of my favorite spots to decorate is the mantle. I love hanging seasonal garlands. This burlap LOVE garland is so cute, and the longer garland of hearts just screams Valentine’s Day, and a few heart picks here and there, really add a festive vibe!
The dining area is another fun spot to decorate for Valentine’s Day! Valentine’s Day place settings are so fun! I love buying little inexpensive seasonal knick knacks at places like Dollar Tree, Amazon, and Walmart. The hearts in the center of my plates are actually ornaments, but I think they look so cute in the center of each place setting.
Don’t you just love a wooden tiered tray? I do, and this one gives off major farmhouse vibes, which I loooove. The fun thing about a tired tray is that you can decorate it for each season and holiday. A wood beaded garland and little odds and ends make great adornments. I found an adorable set of 15 Valentine’s decorations that is perfect for this wooden tray. The miniature rolling pin is so cute!!
Pillow covers are an inexpensive way to change out your decor for each holiday and season. This cute Valentine’s pillow cover is from Amazon. It comes in a set of four so you can use them on your couch, bed, or chairs. If you need and quick and easy way to add a little festive cheer to your home, pillow covers are a fabulous way to do just that!
Another cute way to add a touch of Valentine’s Day to your home…add some Valentine’s place settings to your dining table. These embroidered heart place mats are so sweet! They come in a set of 6 at a reasonable price. All you have to do to really make them festive, is add a charger for a pop of color and dinner plates. Now, we are good to go!
Our Valentine’s decor would not be complete without a pretty Valentine’s Day wreath! We made this sweet Valentine’s wreath a while back and it is one of my favorites. If you would like to watch the tutorial of us making this wreath, you can see it here.
